We are now pleased to offer the modern Invisalign teeth straightening system.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign straightens your teeth using a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that are custom-made specifically for your teeth. As you replace each aligner every couple weeks, your teeth will gradually move towards the projected final position. One of the main benefits of this system is that it requires less frequent visits (every 6-8 weeks) to the dentist for your new series of aligners (opposed to every 4 weeks with traditional braces).

Because they are removable, it means you can take them out if you have an important meeting or social event you are attending, and you don’t want your aligners to have an impact on them. We recommend you wear your aligners for as much as possible during the day (only taking them out for drinking or eating), as long periods of not wearing them will make your overall treatment time longer.

What are the benefits of our Invisalign invisible braces ?

Customised – We take impressions of your mouth which are used to create your custom made aligners utilizing the align technology.

Removable – Can be removed for eating, drinking and to brush/floss your teeth.

Effective – As soon as you start to wear your custom aligners, your teeth will begin their journey to become straight.

Invisible – Invisalign is a discrete way to straighten your teeth, the aligners are barely noticeable.

Comfortable – No more brackets or metal wires poking and causing irritations in your mouth. These custom made aligners are made to fit your teeth and use slight force to straighten them over time. (please note, initially each aligner may take some time to acclimatize).

How Long Does Invisalign Treatments Take?

This will depend on the severity of your teeth. The more complex a case is, it will require more aligners and subsequently take longer to complete. A typical case can range from 18 to 36 aligners, which spans over a 9-24 month period. Our sister practice will be able to assess your case and give you a rough estimation of the expected completion time.

Please note – any significant time that you do not wear the aligners can cause a delay in the overall treatment time, and not wearing the aligners can cause a potential relapse when the teeth start to move back to their original positions.

Will I Still Be Able To Clean My Teeth Easily?

The beauty of invisalign is the fact that they are easily removable, and will not impact you in any way when you practice your oral hygiene routine. Flossing with traditional braces can be hard getting in between the brackets and wires, but with invisalign, this will not be a problem at all.

How To Look After Your Teeth After Invisalign

It’s important to understand that after any type of teeth straightening your teeth are naturally wanting to relapse back to the starting position. This is why after treatment it is important that you still continue to wear your retainers indefinitely. The last set of aligners are often used as your retainers (unless you opted for other types of retainers). This is one of the most important aspects of the treatment, as a relapse would mean the time and money invested would of been in vain. We highly recommend to be diligent with wearing your retainers so you can enjoy your new smile for as long as possible.
